Message from Newport Beach PD Alerts
A residential burglary was recently reported in the Mariners Community.
1500 Block of Dorothy Ln. (26000021)
Occurred around approximately: 4:15 am on 1/2/2026
While the victims were away, three unknown suspects accessed the side of the residence and entered the backyard. The suspects shattered a first-floor sliding glass door to gain entry into the primary bedroom. Once inside, they removed the victim’s property from a closet before fleeing the scene.
During the burglary, the alarm system was activated, alerting the homeowner. The homeowner reviewed the security camera footage and then contacted the Newport Beach Police Department. Officers responded to the scene shortly after; however, no suspects were located in the area at that time.
Loss: Jewelry box.
Suspect Info: Three suspects wearing white hooded sweatshirts, jeans and masks.
